Mass Spectrometer

Mass spectrometer (MS) is the best combination for sensitive and selective detection. MS applications could be used together with various analytical chromatography techniques and other analytical measuring instruments, to generate a very powerful analytical tools.

MS is very efficient for environmental samples analysis, since it can differ very simply between thousands of compounds, based only on their molecular mass. Its' high resolution accuracy allows certain identification of a compound. Using mass spectrometer, the hydrochemistry lab researchers can target micro-pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and other toxic substances within a very complex matrices of water and soil.

The high sensitivity of the MS allows us to study chemical processes, such as advanced oxidation, and their effects on different molecules at very low concentrations. MS/MS application could be used for studying structural information about the molecules.
