Our research studies integrate procedures and methods of organic and analytical chemistry with engineering concepts and mathematical and statistical analysis into practical engineering outcomes to produce safe drinking waters and safe effluents. We believe that fundamental research is an exploration of the unknown. Fusing our background knowledge with our creative imagination to come up with ideas and then implementing them captivates us. We believe that advances in the field of water research and technologies are particularly critical in the Mediterranean basin. The necessity of collaboration among various disciplines is an especially important approach for successful water research. Additionally, we are investing many efforts to support developing countries by understanding their needs and trying to create specific “tailor-made” solutions (low-tech and high-tech, courses, teaching, workshops, training local laboratories, studies and research, collaboration with local student and faculties, etc.).
